The Ann Arbor Garden Club was organized in the summer of 1929 by Mrs. James Inglis, Mrs. HenryEarhart and Mr. Audrey Tealdi, then the Director of the University of Michigan’s Nichols Arboretum. Since the beginning, an average of 100 members yearly have sought to bring beauty to the greater Ann Arbor Area

The Club helps maintain the gardens at Ann Arbor Hospice, Cobblestone Farm, High Point School and Matthaei Perennial Gardens.

Other club activities include monthly meetings from September through May with guest speakers, workshops, flower shows and plant exchanges. Parties in December and May and garden toursround out the year. There is a tea in October to welcome newcomers.
